Fall 2019 Course Offerings


*PAS2023 - History and Polity of the Church of the Nazarene

— A study on the rich history and mission of the Church of the Nazarene. This course will also touch on what we believe, why, and what we value as a denomination. The student will also learn our polity and how we operate as a church organization. This course is expected to be among the one-quarter of classes completed for the course of study to receive a district license.

This course meets a requirement for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene and can be used for academic credit at Nazarene Bible College.

ENG103 - English Composition I

— The student will learn the fundamentals of communicating well through speech and writing. This is foundational for the preaching and teaching ministry of a pastor.

This course is a prerequisite for Biblical Interpretation, Doctrine of Holiness, and Christian Preaching I and is also required for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.



*Information regarding credit at Nazarene Bible College

— Many, but not all, courses offered through the SWID School of Ministry are planned to meet requirements for academic credit through Nazarene Bible College. Check out the NBC Credit - Student Portfolio Guide for more information.

 

Registration forms (available online only) are due by August 15, 2019.
