This year’s theme is meant to help us "fine-tune" our focus on missions as a church and to understand our individual and local church role(s) in carrying out that mission to God’s glory. Such "fine-tuning" will bring people into focus! A Home for Plamen by Cheryl Crouch
This book is fiction but based on facts and high-lights the work of the Church of the Nazarene in Eastern Europe, specifically among margin-alized people groups. The book is based on the true story of a Roma [RO-muh] boy. Naza-rene missionary Cezi Glendenning helps to place him in a foster home, resulting in the boy and his family coming to Christ and becoming leaders in the local Church of the Nazarene.
Mahalia and the Terrible Typhoon by Tami Brumbaugh
Students in the United States prepare Crisis Care Kits. Meanwhile in the Philippines, a young girl and her brother are helping grandparents board up windows to prepare for a typhoon. The storm hits quicker than expected, so they endure the storm with their grandparents. When they return home, their home is destroyed and their family is missing. The Crisis Care Kits provide relief and evidence that God cares for them. This story is fiction based on facts about Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Crisis Care Kits, and typhoon Manghkut in the Philippines.
Swazi Treasure Hunt by Wes Eby
This book is based on true Nazarene mission work in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). It includes factual information about places and culture and about Nazarene missions work in the country. The characters and plot have been fictionalized to make the story more readable for children.

God's Excellent Adventures in Asia by Esther Truesdale
This book features six countries of Asia. Each chapter features children and their families witnessing God’s work in a different Asian country. The countries are: Thailand, Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, India, and Indonesia. These stories were inspired by Scripture, the legend about the Apostle Thomas, educational sources, and experiences with children. All characters are fictional. Places, animals, and circumstances are faithful to each named country.
The Hidden Treasure of Mesa Flats by Judi Wiegman

My Father's Courage by Rebekah L. Rainey
Danylo is struggling with many things in his life. His father is dying from cancer. The school bully, Sasha, scares Danylo into giving him his lunch money. While Danylo is battling sadness and fear, his best friend invites him to Kid’s Club, a kid’s outreach, started by Nazarene church-planters. The missionary shares the gospel with Danylo. Danylo asks Jesus into his heart. Danylo later learns that God can give him courage. He doesn’t have to be afraid. This story is about a real church-plant and kid’s outreach program (called ‘Kid’s Club’) in Lviv, Ukraine.
